Still life

Critical text by Luigi Erba:
There is no need to look for the infinite in the infinite itself. The world can be in an object, especially in a house, in the daily environment, in the things you touch every day.

Michela Petti isolates these glimpses in fragments of light and matter, of shadows that shape these micro interiors according to the time of day. Thus it is that the portions of windows, pictures, doors, covers have something elusive, transient in themselves.

In his work, objects are almost never decontextualized, taken towards an abstraction, but they maintain their recognizability and function. They are furnishings necessary for everyday life, but they make us dream with their warmth and color.
